Dr. Mewis wanted to be a doctor because of the intellectual challenges medicine provides. Now, her favorite part is getting to know her patients so she can help them find a path of healing. She tries to educate patients and show them what it means to be healthy. She learned from smart, kind and compassionate teachers in medical school who are a large part of why she chose internal medicine as her specialty. Dr. Mewis lives in Fort Worth. In her free time, she enjoys running, cycling, traveling, knitting and reading.
